What We Do in Naples
Every service below is available throughout the Naples service area.
Estate homes with gas fireplaces, barrier-island salt, and the Everglades close enough that wildlife is a genuine factor.
You get images of what we actually found on your roof and inside your flue, not just a price. If something is fine, we tell you it is fine.
Every technician working on your chimney is trained on both masonry and factory-built systems, and we carry full liability cover.
No charge to come out and quote, and the estimate breaks down parts and labour separately so you can see what you are paying for.
Collier County has the highest concentration of gas fireplaces in our service area. In Pelican Bay, Pine Ridge, Port Royal, the Vineyards and most of the newer North Naples communities, a fireplace is an architectural feature run on gas rather than a wood-burning appliance — and it needs a completely different service.
Gas units do not produce creosote, so they do not need sweeping in the conventional sense. What they do need is the venting checked for obstruction, the logs correctly positioned for the burner, the ignition and safety shutoff verified, and the glass and gaskets on a direct-vent unit inspected for seal failure. Incorrectly placed logs are a common and genuinely dangerous fault, because they cause incomplete combustion.
We also carry out conversions in both directions — wood to gas and gas to wood — which is a frequent request in Naples renovations.
Collier County borders the Everglades, and an open flue is an attractive cavity to a great many things. We find birds, squirrels, rodents and wasp nests routinely, and occasionally something larger. Chimney swifts are federally protected while nesting, so timing matters — we will tell you honestly if removal has to wait until the season is over, and cap the flue afterwards so it does not recur.
The second Naples-specific factor is seasonal occupancy. A great many homes here are empty for months at a stretch, and problems that would be noticed in a week in an occupied house go undetected for a season. A leak through a failed crown has a long time to work before anyone sees the ceiling.
On Marco Island, Vanderbilt Beach and the near-Gulf addresses, add salt corrosion to both of the above. We recommend an annual look at the metal components on those properties regardless of how much the fireplace is actually used.
