Chimney Services Across Lee County

Lee County is the most corrosive environment we work in. Cape Coral is built around an extensive canal network, Sanibel and Captiva sit fully exposed in the Gulf, and Fort Myers Beach and Matlacha are surrounded by water on effectively every side. Salt-laden air reaches almost everything.

The practical consequence is simple: any galvanised metal on a chimney here has a short working life. Chase covers, caps, storm collars and their fasteners corrode from the inside out, and the failure is usually well advanced before there is any visible sign from ground level. We replace far more chase covers in Lee County than anywhere else we work, and we specify stainless as a matter of course.

Inland, Lehigh Acres, Gateway and Buckingham are a different job — less salt, but a lot of recent construction where the original installation quality is the deciding factor.

Barrier Island and Post-Ian Work

Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers Beach and Pine Island were severely affected by Hurricane Ian in September 2022, and a great deal of the housing stock has been rebuilt or substantially repaired since. New construction is not the same as correct construction, and we are regularly the first people to actually inspect a chimney assembly that was installed during the rebuild.

The recurring findings are the ones you would expect from work done at speed: chase covers without a cross-break, missing storm collars, caps that are the wrong size for the flue, and flashing that relies on sealant rather than being properly layered into the roof.
